Cracking the Agility Code #12

Cracking the Agility Code #12

Think fighter pilot to remind you to always be finding ways to shrink your Organizational OODA Loop for a higher clock-speed of fast-cycle teamwork.  I love explaining the OODA Loop training of a fighter pilot.  Observe, Orient, Decide, Act.  Other things being equal, the fighter pilot with the stronger, better, faster OODA Loop wins. We go into a dog-fight every day with VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) for which the clock-speed is increasing all the time. If the clock-speed of our Agility isn’t, we will loose. How’s your organizational OODA clock-speed of fast-cycle teamwork? In many organizations it’s way too lethargic, bureaucratic and open-loop! Tick tock!
