Proud that OTA is an early adopter B-Corporation. As of the time of writing this …
- One of still only 2,655 Companies from 60,000+ who have applied, across 150 industries, in 60 countries …
- With 1 unifying goal:
Certified B Corporations are a new kind of business that balances purpose and profit. They are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment. This is a community of leaders, driving a global movement of people using business as a force for good.”
- As you will see we are rubbing shoulders with some great brands, not least of all which will help us take our brand credibility and PR onwards and upwards.
Here are some great videos below:
- 2 minute introduction
- Hear co-founder Jay Coen talk about the evolution of our system of capitalism from Shareholder Capitalism to Stakeholder Capitalism.
- Hear Bryan Welch explain more about the process and benefits of becoming a B-Corporation … he equates the change movement of B-Corp like the quest for flight:
We tried to fly and failed miserably for 3000 years, there is a historical record of this, we attempted to fly over and over again, often at great human cost. Then in the first decade of the 20th century, the Wright Brothers managed to get their glider to lift off for a very short distance. Within 6 years of that glider flight you could buy a ticket on an airliner and 66 years after that glider flight we went to the moon. So 3000 years of failure, nothing changing … then to the moon in less than 7 decades. Change has a tendency to exist only in the imagination, for a long period of time, and then to be realized very suddenly. So if you doubt that the world of business is about to change in a meaningful way, that you buckle your seat belt and hang on because I think we’re in for a major shift.
